# Metronome

### Basic Usage

1. Click the **metronome icon**&#x20;
2. Set tempo with **+/-** buttons, type directly, or drag up or down
3. Press **C** again to play/stop
4. Use **C** to play/stop even if the metronome window is closed

### Tap Tempo

Press **G** repeatedly to tap in your desired tempo.

### Time Signature

Select from common signatures:

* 4/4, 3/4, 2/4
* 6/8, 12/8
* And more

### Beat Division

Choose click subdivision:

* Quarter notes
* Eighth notes
* Triplets
* Sixteenth notes
* Accent downbeat option

### Count-In

Enable the count-in by selecting it in the dropdown to get a 2-Beat, 1-Bar, or 2-Bar count-in before recording or looping begins.

### Tempo Sync

Your tempo automatically syncs to plugins that support host tempo:

* Delay effects
* Tremolo
* Time-synced modulation
